EPST signed exclusive selection and research agreement with China

EPST has signed an exclusive agreement with the Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CAFUC) to provide selection services and to participate in the research to adjust the existing EPST selection system to the local requirements.

The proposed system will be based on the well known and very successful COMPASS and Advanced-COMPASS system of EPST, for which a Chinese version was already available.

Lufthansa City Line

Lufthansa City Line need 120 pilots and has asked EPST to provide them with any EPST trained pilot, interested to fly for this airline. Contrary to earlier announcements, there is no exclusivity for any Dutch FTO to provide Lufthansa City Line with pilots and therefore all quality candidate, such as those trained by EPST, are welcome. All EPST candidates can apply on-line to www.lufthansa-cityline.com and select "pilotjobs".

EPST announces two new COMPASS modules.

Two new COMPASS modules are developed by EPST in order to enhance COMPASS by responding to the requirements of the EPST COMPASS clients. The two modules are:

  • A module on Aviation-English.
This module is specifically developed for the ab-initio COMPASS version in order to assess the English ability of the candidate. The result of this test in combination with standard license training will predict the candidate’s ability to pass the ICAO level 4 English requirements when this comes into force in 2008.
  • Verbal reasoning.
This is a psychometric COMPASS module designed to test the candidate’s ability to understand, analyze and logically interpret written information. This is an important element of the pilot and future pilot skills.
The two modules are a major improvement to EPST's COMPASS and are available to all current COMPASS users without additional charges.

EPST will provide its pilots with ATC introduction training

EPST will provide its pilots with an introduction to ATC activities. In order to accomplish this, EPST has recently signed an Agreement with NLR to obtain the NARSIM system from NLR. This system has been successfully used to train ATC students for the Dutch ATC organization (LvnL).

We are providing cockpit introduction to Air Trafic Controllers very successfully and we felt that this awareness of each others activities and related issues should work both ways” according to Dick Verburg, Managing Director of EPST.

”In addition to our unique management training provided by the Nyenrode Business University, we are now adding this very valuable additional training to our pilot training syllabus”. “This will further enhance the global experience of the EPST trained pilots” according to Verburg.
