FTO Services 1. Ab initio selection for FTO´s EPST has a great deal of experience with the selection of ab initio candidates. It is very important to be able to recognize the quality of the candidates combined with their potential for flying training. The ab initio selection is not restricted to whether or not the candidate can complete an intensive flying training course but indicates specifically whether or not the candidate can subsequently be trained on a fast jet as well as his/her ability to perform well in a team. In addition we look at many other criteria, for example potential leadership. Ab initio selection is always completed with a simulator "trainability assessment test". 2. Selection Tools/Products and Services As well as providing complete selection packages, EPST has a variety of selection tools/products available which can be licensed to FTOs. EPST will be responsible for setting up the services or tools you may want to license, or we can set up a complete selection center for you. Results are available immediately (real-time) after each selection at your site. (See EPST Selection Services) 3. Airline Jet Foundation Course (AJFC) The AJFC course (sometimes called a bridge course) is designed specifically to make the transition from licence holder to an airline and jet type rating course ready pilot. This course is not a type-specific course but it will prepare pilots for type rating and airline employment. The course has been designed specifically for EPST by a very experienced Senior Training Captain. Pilots who complete this course are highly likely to pass any jet type conversion/rating without significant problems. FTOs who use this course to complete their training syllabus will be producing airline-ready pilots who have reached a recognized course pass standard. This course can also be licensed to FTOs for their own use.
